About composition
Etodolac is fall under the category of Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. As it is used to reduce inflammation, pain, swelling. It has several properties like anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antipyretic.
paracetamol is known as acitominophen which is a pain reliever and fever reducer.
Mechanism of action
Both the drugs works by blocking the cox-1and cox-2 enzymes which is involve in the production of prostaglandins which mediates inflammation, fever ,As this enzyme converts arachidonic acid to prostaglandins therefore, it inhibits it.
Pharmacokinetics
Absorption:
Both the drugs is absorbed orally by the GIT
Protein binding:
It is about 99.9% bound to serum albumin whereas paracetamol do not show protein binding
Metabolism:
It is metabolized in the liver and undergoes hydroxylation and glucuronide conjugation.
Excretion:
It is excreted in unchanged via the urine.

Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity and allergy.
- Contraindicated during the third trimester of pregnancy.
- Contraindicated in patients with renal impairment.
